Youth Flag Football League Director (Part-Time/Seasonal)

We're looking for someone to start training this Spring season and hope to find a great fit who will stay with us for many seasons to come. The ideal candidate shares our values of commitment to the absolute best experience possible for kids joining our league and uses that as the guiding star for decision-making on and off the field. We're looking for someone who is honest, dependable, and committed to the mission who can step into the role of managing the league, the coaches, and the referees during the weekends in the Spring and Fall.
This is a part-time position for the season. This could be a great fit for someone with weekend availability or flexible position who is interested in taking on this role.
Target Start Date: Sept. 4
Expected End Date: Nov. 4
Expected Hours this Season: 10-25 hrs/week
Pay Rate: starting at $2800/season
We are looking for a League Director who possesses the following qualities:
- Ability to work with strong personalities and display a high degree of emotional intelligence
- Conscientious and dependable
- Grit and a never-give-up attitude
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Honest and respected within the community
- Passionate about football and possesses a deep understanding of the game
- Skilled at defusing situations and maintaining a positive atmosphere
Responsibilities:
- Conduct referee and coach training and orientation for the season
- Schedule referees and trainers for league games and practices.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for coaches and referees
- Supervise and manage the league on weekends (6-10 hours each Saturday and Sunday)
- Step in as a coach or referee when needed and mitigate disputes
- Bonus: Ability to create and adjust the season schedule
